Building Blocks of Salsa/Mambo (C) (R)

How the CYCLE works:

The cycle is driven by the "Turn Combinations" taught on that day, thus the cycle begins on any given day and recycles back. There are four turn combinations in the 1st level syllabus:

1. Cross Body Lead (CBL)/Reverse CBL 2. Right & Left Turn/Back & Side Breaks
3. Broken Left Turn/Back Break
4. Broken Left w/CBL (Inside/Outside)

If you come to class on a day when I am teaching Foundation Step #4, then you would start the cycle then and continue onto #4, #1, #2, and #3 where the cycle would end. If you start the cycle at #2 it would, you would continue to #3 and so on. Thus, you can actually begin at anytime.

Level I (7-8pm) for Beginners: this is for students that do not know one or more of the 4 turn combinations. This class is perfect for absolute beginners!

Level II (8-9pm) for Intermediate: this is for students that know and are comfortable with all of the 4 turn combinations in Level I.

Frank Ritmo says I am changing the process of payment & registration for classes. Starting in April, we have to ask each student to purchase the Friday classes in advance. For example a four class card would equal $20. "Walk-ins" will cost $7 for the class. It is still a bargain comparatively and we unfortunately are just keeping up with the rent of the studio. Thank you for understanding.

What is building blocks?: Building blocks (c) is a technique created by me "Frank Ritmo" in which I will teach leaders to create their own repertoire of turns on the fly! Followers will be able to detect any turn pattern and adapt to different leads. I have created a successful technique of building beginner students to become intermediate/advanced dancers quickly.

My technique will teach you to become a strong dancer with your own unique style!

* Foundation is the most important key to becoming a talented dancer.

See you in class!

The most influential dancers from my first steps to the time I became a well-established dancer has been Eddie & Maria Torres, Angel & Addie Rodriguez and Cuban Pete.
